The new year

This year has been quite a roller coaster…..

 

I’ve made friends and lost them,

I’ve had my heart broken and done the same back,

This year is my way of looking back and making sure I don’t make the same mistakes twice. It’s my chance to look forward and say yes, I’ve fallen but i’ve gotten back up every single time, and it’s going to take a lot more to keep me down. I look forward to the new year, but I won’t forget the year im putting behind me either, the past may leave scars, but those scars remind us what living really is.

That look, that feeling

As if I’m someone else.

It sings a truth, far to painful to bear.

 

When we kiss, our lips meet,

But my lips are not the ones that you long for.

I am not who you wanted

 

When my fingers meet your skin,

you don’t rise to my touch,

you fall in despair,

For I am simply plan B

Silence

Silence as heavy as stone falls on me,

Crushes the air and I cannot breathe.

The darkness surrounds me and crushes my soul,

Your voice kept me alive, until you let me go.

 

Blinded I walk down the path of my life,

The emptiness rips at my heart like a knife.

Your smile once brought a light to my being,

That glare in your eyes is all that I’m seeing.

 

There once was a time when I dreamed about love.

Too late did I learn it wasn’t enough.

Every flaw, every mark, every stain, every hole.

You ripped out my heart and left me unwhole.

He sits alone on a chair in his room,

The walls are bare, the floor empty too.

It’s dark in this spot where no one can find him.

He hides from the world, he hides from his sin.

It presses his heart, dives deeper within.

The walls start to shake, the foundation is loose.

He can’t hide forever, he must face it soon.

Your sins find you out, your heart knows its pain.

It tires of your show, tires of your game.

“Your world can’t exist, there’s more than this room.”

“I’m leaving” said his heart “I won’t return soon.”

You can feel it in your heart,

With every passing second the cracks spread deeper.

Your words deepen the fissure like a chisel to the stone.

Your emotions sway like a tree in the breeze,

And you carry my heart with you into the night.

When you speak to me, you expect hurt to go unnoticed.

But I feel it, I feel every word like a knife to the soul.

But when I say these thing you call me weak.

So I hold them in like a bomb,

Until one day i just…. let go.
